How we work

We believe all children and young people should be given the opportunities to reach their unique potential. We help clients identify their goals and provide programs and services to help them achieve those goals.

At Muddy Puddles we take a targeted approach to intervention where we work on the most important goal first that will have the biggest impact on function and is likely to help with the other identified needs. We have an assessment process to accurately determine how best to provide intervention so that it provides maximum effect. Using a block or 'episode' of service we schedule a review meeting to check that the intervention is achieving outcomes and is working for the client and family. This allows us to make any changes or tweaks to the intervention to ensure we are being effective. As we achieve the original goal we look at the next steps and the next set of concerns.

Our team of professionals are equipped to work with children and young people of all ages and abilities. Whether your child has a diagnosis or not, we can help find the path that suits them. We like to work with the significant people in our client's life – parents/guardians, extended family, health and education professionals, other service providers – to maximise learning and development opportunities and to foster an environment where clients are supported and encouraged to participate fully in the community.
