The primary years

As your child enters the school environment they are faced with new and different challenges. School transitions can be difficult for some children. Developing positive strategies to support your child in the school environment and learning how best to communicate with the school can make all the difference to your child’s success and happiness.

An important part of the school years is making friends. We encourage schools to take a proactive approach to social inclusion and disability awareness so that your child can thrive and make real and lasting friendships. We can help you work with your school to promote disability awareness and inclusion.
